It was vintage, but it had a certain collegiate early 60s feel to it for sure. I wore that thing into the ground and would happily sport it still if I ever found another. I love corduroy sooo much and wish it was a more common fabric still.

Thank you very much, my darling friend. I just put together an outfit two days ago that is one, of if not my very favourite, of the year so far and it likely wouldn't have happened during the dog days of summer. It's great to reconnect with old favourites and newly acquired autumn/winter appropriate pieces alike and now that summer is mere hours from being over, my desire to embrace autumn is stronger than ever.

Wow, you've got me beat in the cardigan camp. I did prune out a few this summer, but I think I'm still in the range of about 40 (give or take a few). They're a staple garment for me the whole year 'round, so I try to have a wide range of colours, styles and weighs to hand. :)

Big hugs & the absolute happiest start of autumn wishes!
♥ JessicaWitchcrafted Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02992822472797191121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3423410690702297063.post-81943016597161302012015-09-22T08:40:39.031-07:002015-09-22T08:40:39.031-07:00Oh, you know my mixed feelings. Last Sunday I changed my shoes, quite a job since I have a LOT, but sandal season is over here in Denmark. I still have bare legs, but I think only for a week more. I love my 60,000 cardigans, grey dresses and wearing stockings again. Thank you for all the lovely, lovely inspiration. I wished it was a catalogue which I could order it all from, what a dream that would be. Wishing you a lovely day. :)SANNEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12973437247117000140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3423410690702297063.post-50348907302787345232015-09-21T12:47:24.295-07:002015-09-21T12:47:24.295-07:00So adore that about this time of the year as well!...So adore that about this time of the year as well! It seems like many vintage lovers are huge autumn fashion fans, which I think makes a ton of sense. It gives us a chance to play around with layers, thicker fabrics and the like, furs/faux furs, sport gloves and thicker hats (and tights) without melting, and connect with a deeper colour palette, too. What's not to adore and find inspiration in if you're keen on style?

Big hugs & happy Autumn wishes,
♥ JessicaWitchcrafted Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02992822472797191121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3423410690702297063.post-91558240492283666862015-09-21T12:29:00.704-07:002015-09-21T12:29:00.704-07:00Indeed! Then as now, many models were on the very slender side, but nearly all would have had heavy-duty corsets, girdles, waist cinchers or the like under their clothes back then and that certainly helped get those microscope waistlines. Excellent point about heavier/more heady fragrances suiting this time of the year better. I wear a signature scent all year round (which has been Dior's Hypnotic Poison - a perfume that is so much more gorgeous than its rather aggressive name would suggestion - for numerous years now), but enjoy shaking things up with other scents, too, and reach for my deeper ones in the fall and winter, too. I don't currently own Black Orchid, but that's one that I'm a fan of as well. Lately I've also been digging Marc Jabob's Honey, which does a rather excellent job of working well for both summer and fall, IMO.

Many thanks again & have a stellar start of autumn!
♥ JessicaWitchcrafted Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02992822472797191121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3423410690702297063.post-27644082433578116532015-09-21T03:56:41.838-07:002015-09-21T03:56:41.838-07:00Autumn is definitely my most favourite season with...Autumn is definitely my most favourite season with crisp mornings, bright sunshine and darker evenings, not to mention the beautiful colours the tress turn to. I live in Miami and we don't have 'fall' as it's always warm here. But I do begin to notice the change of light this time of year, how the afternoon sun gets more golden, softer, and that's how I know 'fall' is here. Although it doesn't mean a major warddrobe change for me, I do celebrate the season by wearing fall colors, which I LOVE, in my make-up routine. I also wear my heavier fragrances, like Shalimar, Angel, Black Orchid. It's a small change for those of us in Miami, but we enjoy it too. :-) (I wish I could wear my vintage wool 40's suit with a fur stole!) I've been lucky in that I've not encountered that often with the coats I've bought for myself (torn linings tend to be more common here), but of course I'm aware of it and have passed up coats and other vintage garments in shops before because I really doubted that their pungent odours could ever be fully removed. I'm sorry that it's something you run into frequently with coats, dear gal. I'm sure that's frustrating.
